What body and oral examinations should be done before implant surgery
1. Select indications based on medical history and examination, and exclude systemic and local contraindications.
For relative contraindications, treatment can be used to remove unfavorable factors before performing implant surgery.
2. General examination of the whole body: three routine tests of hematuria and stool, five items of hepatitis B, coagulation time, blood pressure, pulse, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, etc.
3. The oral examination of the patient is the basic examination of the implant clinic:
(1)Condition of oral mucosa and gums
(2)Stability of remaining teeth
(3)Shape of remaining alveolar ridge (height, thickness and undercut)
(4) Jaw position relationship
(5)Oral Hygiene
4. X-ray examination.
5. Examination of original dentures is mainly used as a reference for making implant dentures.
